This allows easier access to information that used to be very hard to acquire. Instead of having to physically search through books and papers full of census data, the majority of that data has been converted into electronic copies, freely accessible to the public through the internet. This technological advance has facilitated genealogy, allowing everyone access to multiple different web pages where people all contribute and help one another. Also, with the ability to quickly travel the world by airplane or boat, it is also fairly simple to visit graveyards of deceased relatives on a completely different continent.
